The City of Johnstown is located in western Licking County in Ohio and has a population of 5,182. Johnstown has a quaint, ‘‘small-town America’’ vibe.
The two major state highways of US Route 62 and State Route 37 intersect the center of the historic community. Johnstown offers a quick and easy commute to the State Capitol of Columbus (30 minutes), to Newark, the county seat (25 minutes), to the City of Mount Vernon (35 minutes), and to the City of Delaware (30 minutes). The John Glenn International Airport is approximately 25 minutes from Johnstown. In addition, Interstate 71 and Interstate 70 are easily accessed.
The parks in Johnstown offer a variety of amenities including playgrounds, shelter houses, restrooms and shade trees. The newest feature at the Johnstown Trailhead Park is a brand new dog park. Bike racks and bike repair stations are available at Bigelow Park and Johnstown Trailhead Park.
